Vehicle and Traffic

Our office handles speeding tickets and other traffic tickets in the Western New York area. For most clients, we negotiate plea bargains to lower offenses, such as lower moving violations or parking tickets. Of course, each case is unique, and we do our best to obtain the most favorable result for our clients.

Below are brief answers to some frequently asked questions:

Q: Will I have to go to court for my speeding ticket?

A: In most cases, you will not need to appear in court. We can send you a "Plea Affidavit" that authorizes our office to appear on your behalf and accept a plea bargain. While most courts in the area will accept a Plea Affidavit, there are some courts who will require an appearance by the client.

Q: Do I need a lawyer for a speeding ticket?

A: While it is true that you do not need a lawyer to handle your speeding ticket, a lawyer can generally obtain a better outcome than you would be able to obtain by handling the ticket yourself. This typically includes penalties with fewer (if not zero) points on your license, lower fines, and less time waiting in the courtroom.

Q: What are the legal fees for a speeding ticket?

A: For most speeding and traffic cases, our fees range between $250 and $450 dollars. This depends on the complexity of the charge, location of the court, and amount of time we spend working on the file. Fees increase when there are complications (excessively high speeds, suspensions, accidents). Additionally, fees increase if you would like a trial.
